Phenomenal K-pop group, TWICE, recently concluded their visit in the Philippines over the weekend for their highly-anticipated “Snacktacular Fan Meet” with Oishi on Saturday, June 1, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Not only did they bond with Filipino ONCES, but also waved hello to Philippine media in a press conference and talked about their Philippine experience last year, newly learned Tagalog words, and thoughts about their partnership with the local snack brand, Oishi.
They graced the afternoon with their cool Oishi jersey and held their Oishi plushes, which added to the cuteness of the members.
Together with them was renowned TV Host Robi Domingo who perfectly represented the delight of Filipino ONCEs with TWICE’s return in the Philippines, just eight months after their sold-out concert, “Ready to Be in Bulacan,” last September 30 and October 1 at the Philippine Arena.
Check out TWICE’s memorable afternoon in their press conference before their “Snacktacular Fan Meet” last Saturday, June 1.
TWICE
K-pop girl group TWICE made Filipino ONCEs and the press feel special with their presence at the press conference before their highly-anticipated ‘Snacktacular Fan Meet’ in Mall of Asia Arena.
One in a Million
Of course, it is not TWICE without their iconic “One in a Million” greeting, which the press loved.
PH Experience
Jihyo was all-smiles when she recalled the loud cheers of Filipino ONCES during their first visit to the Philippines in 2019 for their “Twicelights in Manila” tour.
Jeongyeon, on the other hand, said that the support of ONCEs who waited for them for four years for their concert last year was “touching.”
New Tagalog Words
When asked about their newly learned Tagalog words, Momo immediately answered, “Maganda si Jihyo.”
Dahyun charmed the press when she enumerated the words: “Ako si Dahyun,” “Baliw,” and “Salamat po!”
‘Mina also bragged about her new expression, “Ay, naku talaga!”
Oishi
TWICE shared that some of their favorite Oishi snacks arethe Spicy Prawn Crackers, Pillows, and Miggos.
Vacation
Jihyo shared that she would love to have the chance to visit the Philippines again and enjoy the sandy beaches and snorkeling activities
like how she did with her family when they visited the country in 2019. She also would like to try the world-famous dessert, halo-halo.
Momo and Jeongyeon
Meanwhile, Momo said that if there were a chance, she would love to visit all the ‘hot’ and popular food places in the Philippines.
But if she has to choose only one member to do it with, it would be Jeongyeon because “it would be fun.”
21:29
One member of the press asked what song they would dedicate to ONCE, and said it would be their b-side track from their 8th mini-album Feel Special, entitled “21:29.”
9th anniversary
Tzuyu shared that they already have a reserved restaurant for the celebration of their upcoming 9th anniversary this October,
especially since they have such hectic schedules and it has been hard for them to bond as a group.
Billboard Hot 100
Speaking of their achievements, the members looked back on their milestone of being in the Billboard 200 Charts and said that they now aim to prepare
“cooler, fresher, and better” music to reach the number one spot on Billboard Hot 100.

From lava buns to sauced-up seafood and even to fried chicken, salted egg proves to be not only trendy, but also incredibly versatile of a flavor. Among its most popular iterations is crunchy, snackable chips, made popular by Singaporean brands and soon emulated by a number of Filipino purveyors. Given the love for salted eggs in Filipino culinary tradition, it’s no wonder these salted egg chips have won over the nation. But their roughly-200 to 600 peso price tag per bag keeps them a once-in-a-blue-moon treat—and this doesn’t do justice to how much folks crave it.

After my experience at the Oishi Snacktacular event this year, there was nothing I looked forward to more than this year’s event. As July was coming to an end, I lost hope that there would be another chance to go… and then, just when I least expected it, the announcement for Oishi Snacktacular 2017 came.
Make your tummy happy by customizing your very own Oishi snacks at the Make Your Own Snack booth. Choose two bases from Fishda, Spicy Oishi Prawn Crackers, Ridges Onion and Garlic, Panchos Nacho Cheese, and Bread Pan Cheese and Onion; and then choose two dips from sweet chili, mayonnaise, cheese, chocolate, and honey mustard.
Of course, you need dessert to go with your snacks. At the O-Twirl booth, you can get your ice cream fix by choosing between Choco Chug ice cream or Tea Matchi ice cream (or get a mix of both!) and then choose two different toppings for it from Pillows, Gourmet Pops, Wafu, and Sponge Crunch.

Activities and fun aside, you might also run into celebrities like Alex Gonzaga, Maine Mendoza, Daniel Padilla, and Kathryn Bernardo!
